Privacy Policy

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CKP Foundation, Inc. (“the Foundation,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit ckpfoundation.org (the “Website”), make a donation, complete a form, or otherwise contact us online, by mail, or by phone.

CKP Foundation, Inc. is a separate 501(c)(3) organization from CKP Athletics LLC. This policy governs only information collected by the Foundation; it does not apply to CKP Athletics LLC or to any partner organization's own website or systems (such as a youth sports club's registration platform).

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Contact information submitted through a donation, contact, volunteer, sponsorship, or scholarship-application form (name, email, mailing address, phone number)

  • Payment information when making an online donation, processed by our third-party donation platform (Givebutter) — we do not receive or store full card numbers

  • Information about a child submitted by a parent or guardian in connection with a scholarship application or program interest form

Information collected automatically

  • Standard website analytics (pages visited, general location by city/region, browser type) collected through our website host and, if enabled, Google Analytics

  • Cookies used to support basic site functionality and to understand aggregate site usage

You can set most browsers to refuse cookies; some site features may not work as intended if you do.

3. Children's Privacy

The Pass It Forward Leadership Academy serves girls in grades 2–8, so protecting young participants' information is a priority. The Website is directed at parents, guardians, coaches, and partner organizations — not at children — and any program or scholarship information about a child is submitted to us by a parent, guardian, or partner organization, not by the child directly.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 through the Website. If we later learn that a child has submitted personal information without a parent or guardian's involvement, we will delete it. Parents and guardians may contact us at any time to review, correct, or request deletion of information submitted about their child.

4. How We Use Information

  • To process and acknowledge donations and sponsorships

  • To respond to inquiries, volunteer interest, and partnership requests

  • To review and administer scholarship applications

  • To send program updates, newsletters, or fundraising communications to those who opt in

  • To maintain accurate financial and governance records

  • To understand, in the aggregate, how visitors use our Website so we can improve it

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent personal information.

We may share information only:

  • With service providers who need it to do their job on our behalf (for example, our donation platform or email provider), and only for that purpose

  • With a partner youth sports organization, when necessary to coordinate a specific program, sponsorship, or scholarship — and only the information needed for that purpose

  • When required by law, subpoena, or regulatory request, or to protect the safety of the Foundation, its participants, or the public

Because CKP Foundation, Inc. and CKP Athletics LLC are separate entities, information collected by the Foundation is not shared with CKP Athletics LLC for its business or marketing purposes.

6. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect information submitted through the Website, including a limited-access Google Workspace account and a PCI-compliant donation processor for payment information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices & Rights

You may contact us at any time to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Request that we delete your information, subject to records we are legally required to retain (such as donation records for tax purposes)

  • Opt out of email or mail communications

  • Ask that your gift or your name be treated as anonymous in public materials

8. Links to Other Websites

Our Website may link to third-party sites — our donation platform, partner organizations, or sponsors. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies separately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Website, programs, or platforms change. The current version will always be posted at ckpfoundation.org, with the effective date noted at the top.
